Polyurethane Foam
Concrete Lifting and Leveling

Most Polyurethane Foam Concrete Leveling, Stabilization, and Void Filling projects can be completed quickly and economically with minimal disruption, achieving a one-day turnaround and immediate return to service.

For concrete leveling, strategically drilled injection holes are made in the concrete slab that requires correction. A trailer-mounted rig with an extended hose delivers polyurethane foam directly to the precise location. The foam is injected beneath the slab, filling voids and elevating the concrete to the proper, level position.

Once the injection is complete, the holes are patched with polymer concrete or cement, restoring the slab for immediate use. Depending on the scope of the project, the repair typically takes 1–2 hours, with most jobs finished within one day.

Polyurethane concrete leveling provides results comparable to traditional mudjacking, but uses a lightweight material that requires fewer and smaller injection holes. Also known as foam leveling, this method is the latest and most efficient solution for concrete repair.

Cost-effective

Polyurethane foam concrete leveling is a cost-effective alternative to replacing concrete. Concrete leveling can usually be done for less than half the cost of pouring new concrete. However, the savings may be even greater, since when concrete leveling the costs of demolition, removal, and landscaping are eliminated.

Polyurethane foam concrete leveling and stabilization avoid costly tear out and disruptive replacement of the slab. This allows the surrounding area to remain in use or service even during the project with minimal downtime, if any.

Quick Cure Time

Polyurethane typically cures in minutes after injection allowing areas to be fully available in minutes not days.

Benefits and Advantages of Concrete Lifting
and Foam Jacking using Polyurethane Foam

  • Simple Application
Since the foam cures in minutes—most solutions exhibit 90% of full compression strength after 15 minutes—large surface areas can be lifted and returned to service immediately during the application. This allows for swift construction and minimal waste.

  • Lower Costs
The ease of application contributes to less time working, as does the fact that many of our geotechnical foam solutions can be applied by a two-man crew. These factors all translate to fewer paid man hours, and lower overall job costs.

  • Exotherm-Free Processing
Our geotechnical foam solutions are designed to be built up in great lift thickness without scorching or foam splitting. During application, our systems have low exotherm heat transfer, which eliminates additional spray passes and ensures quick construction.

  • Moisture-Tolerant and Resistant
Though our solutions are injected into wet areas, they will maintain their physical characteristics during reaction and expansion. Plus, the high-density, closed-cell nature of geotechnical foam makes them resistant to water penetration

  • Exceptional Inter-Layer Adhesion
Due to high structural compressive strength providing strong inter-layer adhesion, our solutions ensure a strong monolithic barrier, one that outperforms sand bags. Profoam’s geotechnical foam systems don’t shift and settle afterwards, which means long-term erosion issues are reduced.

  • Extremely Conformable
During the injection process, geotechnical foam will flow freely into cracks and voids, ultimately expanding to its final in-place density—which is normally greater than its free-rise density. Free-rise density is determined without any loads or restrictions placed on the geotechnical foam.

  • Environmentally Responsible
Formulated with an environmentally responsible non-ozone depleting blowing agent, our solutions offer a trouble-free alternative that can last a lifetime—and that makes no additional use of our natural resources.

DID YOU KNOW?

Spray foam insulation out-performs conventional insulation materials because they (conventional insulation materials) trap still-dry air and if that air moves or becomes wet, the thermal resistance can drop by 50%. Spray foam protects against air infiltration, which can increase energy costs in buildings by 10 to 40%. Eliminate these drafts and live in a more energy-efficient, comfortable and healthier building by choosing spray foam insulation.
